Player Mode General Overview

General Player Info Map

A. Timer - Displays how much time is left in your turn, as well as how long

the other player's turn has lasted.

B. End turn - Click once to send end turn command, click a second time to confirm and

end your turn.

C. Interact Button - Presents the player with a text box which holds 10 characters and an arrow. The text box is generally used for entering a verb and pointing to the object the verb should be acted upon. For example to leave a room the arrow could be pointed at a door with the text "leave", or to smile at an anteater you could point at the anteater with the text "smile".

D. Move - Allows the player to move their character around the screen using the mouse. The controller will only see your final position after ending your turn.

E. Speech - Allows the player to enter speech for the character (no known character limit). The speech bubble position is set by the controller. If the text is coming directly out of the player object the speech bubble can be flipped from left to right by moving your character to the left or the right. Though there's no maximum length of text you can enter, if you type too much it will run off the top and/or bottom of the screen and become unreadable.

Flipbooks

After finishing a story (press esc and then y to exit) a "flipbook" of each move will be saved to the flipbook sub-folder in the Sleep is Death folder. A flipbook is currently only saved for the player, the controller will not receive a copy unless they are able to contact the player.
